My Education Resume
By this time in your student’s journey they have done a lot, and it’s often more than they know or are able to articulate. My Education Resume is a worksheet of a sorts that walks a student through a series of questions to get at their accomplishments to date. When completed, the information entered by the student creates a great resource that they can give to everyone they are asking to write a reference letter for college admissions, scholarships, and internships.
There are three levels related to this service.
- FREE: the student will receive the information they entered in a Google.doc, sent to their email, within 24 hours M-F, which they can then format anyway that they choose.
- MINIMAL FEE: the student will receive our Student Resume Pro, sent to their email, in a Microsoft Word document, looking good – in a resume template that is ready to go.
- FREE WITH YOUR PREMIUM MEMBERSHIP: the student will receive our Student Resume Pro, sent to their email, in a Microsoft Word document, looking good – in a resume template that is ready to go.
Whatever form your student chooses to receive My Education Resume, they will want to do a thorough read-through to make sure there are no typos, grammatical errors, etc.
My Education Resume should be accompanied by a cover letter that helps the person writing the reference understand what is important, such as who they are writing the letter to, important criteria to highlight, and deadlines.
Free Membership for High School Guidance Counselors

Just send us your deets and we will send you your membership info with full access to The Hub, a library of resources, community forum (which we very much hope you will participate in), Podcasts, future courses, and more.
That’s it. No strings attached. Simple, right?
We understand that this journey can at times be both confusing and a little overwhelming. There are unique circumstances and sometimes it’s tough to get straight answers or, even worse, you may get conflicting answers.
We’ve taken a page from the playbook that Higher Education Consultants use and made it affordable. My Adviser offers families a virtual personal college navigator. Think of them like an experienced coach or mentor (adviser in this case) that will guide you through the stages of your student’s journey to college. You may need a onetime session to get you on your way, or perhaps you might want someone to guide you throughout. Whatever the case, we’ve got your back!
After an initial free consultation, your advisor will make a plan to meet your unique circumstances. Once the plan is agreed to, you will schedule directly with your adviser through our scheduling system. Payment for the session will be made at the time of scheduling. Should you need to cancel or change your appointment, no problem, you are asked to do so 24 hours in advance. If you do not cancel and are a no show, your credit card will be billed for the appointment because your adviser will have reserved that time for you and not been able to spend their time doing something else they love.
Advising sessions are billed in 30, 45 and 60 minute increments. You will decide, with your adviser, on a plan to meet your needs that includes what amount of time is needed and how best to meet (via telephone or online video conference). There is no contract – ever. If you need additional assistance, you will discuss that with your adviser and schedule time to meet. If you have gotten all you need and are good to go, then you are not obligated to continue the advising relationship. This is a service provided by My College Navigation Hub, our Advisers are independent contractors.
